One Spoiled Monkey

I can't believe that my baby boy has turned four. Wow!! I asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday and he told me that he wanted the hugest, biggest birthday ever. Then I asked him who he wanted to invite and he held up both hands and then sat down and held up his feet and said this many. Well my biggest regret of the party was that we couldn't invite everyone. I thought it would be fun to make monkey tails and ears for all of the kids so that they could all be curious monkeys for a day. We have so many great friends that we didn't get to invite because I was burned out on making monkey tails. Anyway, here are a few fun pics of the party!

In the monkeys only zone we had bubbles,

(I found this kind of cool inflatable easel for only $10. I say kind of cool because it had a hole in it from the very beginning and kept deflating.)

My mom, sister, sister, and sister-in-law came to play and help out. Thanks for coming all the way to Logan to come see us. You're the greatest! Oh and Happy Birthday on the 9th, Amory:)

Jaden said that his favorite thing about the whole party was the presents.

Lagoon

Our awesome friends hooked us up with some cheap tickets for Lagoon and so we couldn't resist. Anyone who knows me well, knows that I LOVE going on rides. And anyone who knows David, knows how much he doesn't like rides. So it worked out great! Dave took the kids on all of the kiddy rides and we went and played on all of the big ones. HA! Not really. Dave actually went on most of them with us. We all had a blast!

Jaden had a blast. He went on countless rides and didn't whine or complain the whole time we were there. We left Kian with Dave's sister so that we could spend a little one on one with Jaden. (Thanks Kathy for helping us out, we owe you.)

This ride is my favorite. I LOVE the rides that drop my stomach. I could go on it over and over again all day long. But of course this ride happens to be Dave's least favorite. My least favorite ride of the day was by far the Rattlesnake rapids. I always get drenched on that ride. I came off of it soaked and was freezing forever. Thanks guys for all of the fun. We really did have a great time.

Homemade Tornado

We went home to the farms to see our family and my boys really have fun exploring everything.

Jaden and his Cousin Damen discovered that they could make some really big dust tornados.

We spent a ton of time freezing corn while the boys played on all of the big toys.

Books N Buddies

Thanks to Books N Buddies we got to take a trip to the Fire Department. Books N Buddies is a USU program that encourages young kids and parents to get involved in reading. It's once a month and they give each kid a free book for coming every time. They read books to them and have several fun activities for them to do.

This fireman outfit is actually pretty heavy. Jaden was having to concentrate to be able to hold it all up. And as you can see they both had fun climbing in and all around the fire truck. Good times.

Knight family swimming party

We met all of the cousins in American Fork for a fun day of swimming. Our boys had a blast. Jaden went down the big slide over and over again. I kept thinking that he would run out of energy and want a break but somehow he just kept going like the energizer bunny. Kian had fun finding any leaves, sticks or trash in and around the water and playing with that. He couldn't get enough. This was his first real swimming experience.

Walking and Driving

Kian finally decided to start walking. Yay!! He has had the ability for a while, but he has such a layed back personality that he was lacking in desire to walk. But guess what else he learned how to do...

Yep, you're right. He knows how to drive that thing. I don't know what can be more dangerous than a one year old driving a Truck. What happened to 16? It's pretty funny though because he can barely see over the steering wheel and reach the pedal at the same time.

He has also learned a few words like Hot, Cut, Hello and Night-Night.

He's got a ways to go to catch up to Jaden but it won't be long at the rate he is going.

4th of July Celebrations

Wow! We had so much fun this year. We played and played until we could barely keep our eyes open. Then we drank some Mt. Dew and played some more. There are so many things going on here in Cache Valley this time of year. It seemed like we had our schedule packed full of nothing but fun. Thanks friends and neighbors and friends for the good times.

Jaden is obsessed with flags. I am wondering if that can be genetically inherited. If so, Thanks, Grandma Knight. He gets so excited whenever the scouts put up a flag for the holidays.

This year, catching the candy was a different experience for Jaden. By the end of the parade he was in tears. He took it so serious that if he didn't get a piece of candy he was for sure that the end of the world had come.
