Taya's one!

We fell in love with you the first time that we saw you. Finally a little princess in the family, at least that's what your brother's call you.

This year has been full of amazing times and we've had a lot of tears but through it all I feel soooo lucky to have a little baby girl.

I think it's funny how you always look like you're scared to be so close to your brothers.

It's because you're a smart little girl, ha ha!

You've made the first of many friends.

You're brothers really do love you. Maybe just a little too much.

They love to take care of you and see you smile. Jaden loves to give you rides and Kian is ALWAYS smothering you in hugs.

We were all sad to see you when you get hurt. The day after you learned to walk you broke your leg. You didn't let it stop you though. For three weeks you crawled aroung with one straight leg.

We got the cast of just in time to play and celebrate your first birthday. You still walk like a pirate though and it looks like any day you will take your first steps again. We love you so much Taya Kaye. Happy First Birthday!!! We're so glad you're a part of our family.

Our Little Miracle

Taya, we are so lucky to have you here. You are truly a little miracle baby. I have a hard time thinking about how blessed we are to have you here without tearing up. You are such a sweet baby and we can't image our family without you. Last year was the hardest year of my life but I would do it over and over again to get you here. I still thank my Heavenly Father for the help that I needed to get you here.

Taya Kaye Knight

Taya was born on 11/1/10 and weighed in at 5 lbs 9 oz.

The boys sure love her.

She is our little princess and we are so glad to have her!

Happy Birthday Jaden!

I can't believe we have been parents for five years. This year he wanted a train cake and so I gave it a try. He said it was his favorite thing about his birthday so I guess I succeeded. Jaden, we love you so much and are so proud of you!!!

Little surprises

I love all of the little surprises that I find around the house every day. Sometimes it's Kian's messes like crayon all over the wall, milk dripping down the counter and onto the floor, and my personal favorite when he empties out a whole container of wipes and tosses them all over.

Now with Jaden it's a little different. Usually I can count on finding rocks, nails, paper clips, and money randomly on the counters or in with our laundry. Sometimes I open the dryer door and it rains all sorts of surprises. Well today was a new surprise. I opened the dryer and to my surprise a crusty 3 inch long grasshopper came plopping out. I'm not sure if I should rewash that batch of laundry or not.

Jaden is a little collector. He collects rocks, money, gatorade bottles, and for some reason he likes to save the tags that come off of new clothes. One day I cleaned his room and moved all of his treasures because I was tired of looking at it all and boy did I hear about it. After many many tears he went and found it all and put it back.

It keeps my life interesting and usually quite busy!! Love it!!

Stick-Horse Race Champion

We went to the Rodeo here in town and Jaden wanted to enter every event. He was able to do the Critter Chase and Stick-horse race, but they didn't have enough sheep for him to be in the mutton bustin. Thankfully he wasn't able to catch any of the rabbits or chickens in the critter chase because we wouldn't have know what to do with him.

He did great in the stick-horse race and came home with the winning buckle. (he is so proud of his new shiny buckle) Here's a video of his big event

Hilarious...well it was at the time

#1-I pulled out a package of hamburger so that I could portion it and freeze it. Jaden shouts, "Mom, is that brains? It sure looks like brains." Then about 5 minutes later, "It smells like brains. What color is our brains?"

#2-Jaden knew that I had received a birthday present in the mail for him and that he wasn't allowed to see because it was a surprise. Well a couple days ago he and a neighbor found a package before I did. He brought it into me and said, "Here, mom another birthday present came, but I didn't look at it."

1st clue of mischief- He said he didn't look at it.

2nd clue- How did he know it was a birthday present for him?

3rd clue- As I looked closer I could see that the larger packing tape that was once there had been removed.

4th clue- This box had unusually been wrapped with thin scotch tape.

5th clue- An additional piece had been added perpendicular to the other one that must've not been enough to hold up.

So I ask him again, "Are you sure you didn't look inside?" And you could see him start to sweat. Now Jaden you know how important it is to always tell me the truth and not lie, right?

Jaden with a big smile, "How did you know?" Me with a bigger smile, "Mom knows everything."

Our older neighbor girl had helped him open it and retape it. They both thought that I would never know.

#3- Kian woke up and went into the bathroom and came back with my deodorant. It was funny to watch him try and locate where his arm pit was. Next he went for his knees, toes and elbows.

Thanks boys for the laughs everyday. Life would be so dull without you.

Random pics

For some silly reason, Jaden likes to crash on the stairs and fall asleep. We came home from shopping and Jaden crashed in his little spot. Kian couldn't leave him alone. He was poking and prodding and Jaden didn't budge an inch. Then he started bringing down toys and putting them on him. Poor Jaden is starting to get picked on.

Kian has a little obsession with boxes. I don't know if it's just a boy thing or what but he can't see a box and not climb into it. We stuck this one in our kitchen to see how long it would take for him to get in. He came and jumped in the second he saw it.

Kian has a new obsession with stacking things. I don't as much mind him stacking the seasonings as I do our glass cups. He gets his sticky hands all over them and so I end up washing them all. He has so much fun though that I have a hard time not letting him do it.

Where are the keys?

Kian Tanner Knight... Seriously? So my life has been quite a bit more stressful for me since I have gone back to work. Every second of the day seems to be filled up and if I don't go.. go... go... I will not be able to get things done when needed. Anyway I went to leave the house and I couldn't find the keys anywhere. I searched and searched for at least what felt like 20 mins when the light switch finally went off. I'm a genius. The last place I remembered the keys was on the kitchen counter and guess who else was there? Ok, don't guess it was Kian. So I dug through the disgusting trash can which was next to the counter with no luck. He is known to throw all sorts of things in the garbage. Realizing that he had previously stuck a spoon in the milk jug I decided I better give it a look. And what do you know. There it was in the bottom of a full Vitamin D milk jug swimming around. After much stressing.... because we only had one key which belonged to a car that wasn't even ours (another story) I finally found it. Kian Tanner Knight you are a silly silly boy!

Halloween 2009
